It seems that trends on the ‘Book come in waves. A while ago, women were posting the color of their underwear, and more recently people were styling doppleganger week by changing their profile picture to a celebrity they’ve been told they looked like. One specific trend has swept facebookers across the world: Can this Onion Ring get more fans than Justin Bieber?

Onion Ring WarsThe delicious fried food indeed gathered more fans than the singer! Here are some numbers I found via a google search:

Bieber Fan Count: 1,648,758 fans
Onion Ring Fan Count: 2,152,536 fans

According to the new fan page, the group had over 2.4 million fans just before it was shut down.

I’m sure poor little Justin Bieber was crying his eyes out over this defeat… so much so that he took action and went crying to Facebook, who promptly took down the onion ring page sometime last night. Oh, boo-fricken-hoo.

The fan page also gathered enough fans to beat out other celebs Miley Cyrus and the Jonas Brothers!
