So the band has made their way to the BSU amphitheater to warm up:

I wasn’t there to watch them warm up (I was at the buses helping with pit equipment) but Cody told me they had a great warm up. During this time I learned news that was NOT pleasing to my ear: during our trip back to the school, Cody and I missed the BBQ sammiches!! :( So after a warm up session, the band came back to the entrance gate to Bronco Stadium. We then proceeded onto the field. Showtime.

As you may or may not know, I am an assistant drum line director for Eagle High School’s marching band, so I had the awesome opportunity to attend the District III Marching Festival at Bronco Stadium in Boise. I helped a lot of the band moms (which ROCK!) with moving pit equipment and the drum major podium onto and off of the field. I also had a few awesome and scary adventures throughout the process, so we can start at the beginning.

Balloon Boy

I KNEW IT. It was a hoax. This doesn’t surprise me at all. I’ve been to Subway a few times, and watched CNN on the TV while eating. Every time, there’s something on about the Balloon Boy, and his wingnut family. Holy smokes! It’s all over the news! Hopefully **crosses fingers** this will all be over soon, considering it was all a load of crap.

A few weeks ago, I tuned my radio to Idaho’s True Oldies 99.1 and heard Michael Jackson’s “Thriller” on my way to work in the morning. No surprises there, it’s a classic oldies hit. However, I was surprised when Thriller started playing over again. Between the reps, a voice was heard: “Friday. High noon. It’s Bronco season.”

Alright, my beloved Boise State Broncos are in the AP Top 10! As of this post, they are ranked #6, among such noteworthy college football teams such as Florida, Texas, Alabama, Virginia Tech, and LSU! However, I’ve heard a lot of people complaining about BSU being ranked numbah five, so let me shed some light as to why that was:
